Return & Refund Policy

At Aim for the Moon, our printed and promotional products -including business cards, signs, banners, apparel, displays, and other printed or promotional items- are custom-manufactured specifically for each customer based on the artwork, specifications, quantities, materials, finishes, and options selected when the order is placed.

Because custom products are produced specifically for your order and generally cannot be resold, our return and refund policy differs from policies that apply to standard, off-the-shelf retail products.

Please review this policy carefully before placing your order.

Custom & Personalized Products

Custom & Personalized Products

All products sold by Aim for the Moon are custom-manufactured to order and are generally not eligible for return or exchange.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Business cards and other printed materials

  • Signs, posters, and banners

  • T-shirts and other apparel

  • Banners with stands and other displays

  • Promotional products

  • Products produced using customer-supplied artwork

  • Products for which the customer selects a size, material, color, finish, quantity, configuration, or other production option

Once production has started, an order cannot be cancelled or returned because the customer changed their mind, selected an incorrect option, no longer needs the product, or made an error in the submitted or approved artwork.

Verified manufacturing defects or production errors will be handled according to the Claims, Reprints & Store Credit provisions below.

Order Accuracy & Customer Responsibility

Customers are fully responsible for reviewing and verifying their artwork and order specifications before submitting an order for production. Aim for the Moon prints customer files in their submitted and approved form and has no obligation to proofread or otherwise review the content or layout of customer-supplied artwork.

Customers are responsible for verifying:

  • Spelling, grammar, and punctuation

  • Names, addresses, phone numbers, and other information

  • Graphics and image quality

  • Fonts

  • Transparency and overprint settings

  • Layout and positioning

  • Bleed

  • Cut, fold, crop, and die lines

  • Product dimensions

  • Quantity

  • Product configuration

  • All other artwork and order specifications

By submitting an order for production, you confirm that you have reviewed and approved the artwork, content, layout, and specifications and accept responsibility for errors contained in the submitted files.

Aim for the Moon does not make changes to customer files unless a separate design, artwork correction, or prepress service has been requested.

If you're unsure about any part of your order, contact us before placing it at info@aim4themoon.com.

Order Accuracy & Customer Responsibility

Proofs & Approval

Proofs are not automatically provided for every order. When a proof is available and requested as part of the order process, the customer is responsible for reviewing the proof against the original artwork and verifying all content and specifications.

An order requiring proof approval will not be considered production-ready until the proof has been approved in writing. Proofing and revisions may affect the estimated production turnaround.

Aim for the Moon is not responsible for errors that remain undetected when:

  • A proof is waived by the customer

  • The order is printed according to the customer's written approval

  • Changes or corrections are communicated verbally rather than in writing

All requests for changes or corrections must be submitted in writing.

Proofs & Approval
Color Reproduction & Gang-Run Printing

Color Reproduction & Gang-Run Printing

Aim for the Moon uses a commercial printing process commonly known as gang-run printing for many products. Gang-run printing combines multiple customers' jobs during production, allowing production costs to be shared and helping us provide competitive pricing.

Because of normal variations in paper, materials, inks, coatings, printing equipment, and production conditions, exact color matching cannot be guaranteed.

A "pleasing color" produced according to generally accepted printing trade standards is considered acceptable performance.

Aim for the Moon does not guarantee an exact color match between:

  • Artwork displayed on a computer, tablet, or mobile device and the finished printed product

  • Inkjet or laser proofs and commercial printing

  • Customer-supplied files and gang-run printed products

  • Separate production runs or reorders

Colors on reorders may vary from previous orders unless an applicable proof and color-matching service has been purchased.

If artwork is submitted in RGB color mode, the customer authorizes Aim for the Moon to convert the file to CMYK. Conversion from RGB to CMYK may result in color shifts or other changes.

Normal color variations within generally accepted printing trade standards are not considered manufacturing defects.

Standard Printing & Finishing Tolerances

Commercial printing, cutting, and finishing processes are subject to generally accepted trade tolerances.

Unless otherwise specified for a particular product:

  • The finished piece may be up to approximately 1/8 inch smaller or larger than the ordered size.

  • Printed artwork may shift approximately 1/16 to 1/8 inch up, down, left, or right.

  • Cutting may vary slightly or be slightly uneven within generally accepted trade tolerances.

  • Colors may vary between separate production runs.

  • Quantities are subject to the generally accepted trade practice of plus or minus 10% (±10%).

Because slight movement may occur during printing and cutting, we strongly recommend avoiding borders positioned close to trim lines.

If submitted files do not meet our applicable bleed specifications, Aim for the Moon reserves the right to add a border to the artwork when necessary for production.

Variations falling within generally accepted printing and manufacturing tolerances are considered acceptable performance and do not qualify as manufacturing defects.

Standard Printing & Finishing Tolerances
Claims for Defects, Damage or Shortages

Claims for Defects, Damage or Shortages

Claims involving manufacturing defects, damage, or shortages must be submitted to Aim for the Moon in writing no later than 10 calendar days after delivery.

If no claim is submitted within this period, the order will be considered accepted as satisfying the applicable specifications and production standards.

To submit a claim, please provide:

  1. Your order number

  2. A detailed description of the problem

  3. Clear photographs showing the defect, damage, shortage, or discrepancy

  4. Photographs of the packaging when shipping damage is involved

  5. Any additional information reasonably requested to evaluate the claim

Please retain the affected products and original packaging until the claim has been reviewed.

Submission of a claim does not automatically guarantee a reprint or store credit. Aim for the Moon will review the claim to determine whether the product falls outside applicable specifications and generally accepted trade standards.

Workmanship Guarantee

Workmanship Guarantee

Aim for the Moon guarantees that orders will be produced within applicable gang-run specifications and generally accepted trade standards and will be free from material defects in workmanship.

If Aim for the Moon determines that an order does not meet generally accepted trade standards, we will, at our discretion, reprint the affected product or issue store credit.

Normal variations within applicable printing and manufacturing tolerances are not considered defects.

Reprints

Reprints

When Aim for the Moon approves a reprint, the reprint will be produced using the original files uploaded with the order.

A reprint is intended to correct a verified production or manufacturing problem. It does not include customer-requested artwork changes, corrections, updated information, or modifications to the original order.

If the customer requests changes to the original artwork or specifications, a new order and/or additional design charges may apply.

Refunds & Store Credit

Refunds & Store Credit

Because our products are custom-manufactured to order, Aim for the Moon does not issue cash refunds.

When compensation is approved under this policy, Aim for the Moon will, at its discretion, provide a reprint or issue store credit, as applicable.

Store credit:

  • Has no cash value

  • Cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash

  • May not be combined with current specials or other promotions unless otherwise authorized by Aim for the Moon

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.

Order Cancellations

Order Cancellations

Due to the speed of our production process, an order may only be cancelled on the same business day on which it was placed, and the cancellation request must be received before the applicable production cutoff time.

Cancellation requests must be made as soon as possible.

Cancelled orders are subject to compensation for costs and obligations already incurred.

A minimum cancellation charge of $35 plus 3% of the total job cost, including shipping, applies to cancelled orders.

No refund will be issued for an order cancelled after the business day on which the order was placed. When applicable, store credit will be issued instead.

Once production has started, cancellation may no longer be possible.

Customer-Supplied Artwork & Files

Customer-Supplied Artwork & Files

Customers are responsible for maintaining their own copies of all original computer files, artwork, photographs, images, and other materials submitted to Aim for the Moon.

Aim for the Moon is not responsible for errors contained in customer-supplied artwork or for accidental loss or damage to customer-supplied files or media.

Aim for the Moon does not guarantee permanent storage or archiving of customer artwork after production has been completed.

Any additional file conversion, editing, programming, design, or prepress work required to prepare customer-supplied files for production may be charged at our current rates.

Alterations & Corrections

Alterations & Corrections

Customer-requested alterations must be submitted in writing and clearly identify all corrections or changes requested from the original specifications.

Design, editing, or correction work may be charged at Aim for the Moon's current design rates.

Shipping & Delivery

Shipping & Delivery

Aim for the Moon uses third-party carriers to deliver many orders.

Aim for the Moon is not responsible for carrier delays or other delivery delays outside our reasonable control.

Orders designated for shipping will be shipped after production is completed. Carrier pickup schedules, holidays, weather conditions, service interruptions, and other circumstances may affect the actual shipping or delivery date.

If an order is completed after the carrier's scheduled pickup, it may be collected on the following business day.

Production turnaround and carrier transit time are separate. An estimated production completion date should not be interpreted as a guaranteed delivery date.

If your order arrives damaged, please retain the packaging, photograph the damage, and contact Aim for the Moon within the claim period stated above.

Production Turnaround

Production Turnaround

Production turnaround begins when an order is considered production-ready.

Production turnaround times displayed on our website, quotations, or price calculators are estimates and are not guaranteed.

Additional production services -including folding, scoring, perforating, die-cutting, drilling, and similar finishing operations- may require additional production time.

Purchasing an upgraded or non-standard turnaround option should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a specific completion, shipping, or delivery date.

Delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control -including equipment failure, power outages, third-party shipping problems, severe weather, or similar events- do not automatically qualify an order for store credit.

At Aim for the Moon's discretion, store credit toward a future order may be offered for certain production delays when requested by the customer.

Returns

Returns

Because our products are custom-manufactured and generally cannot be resold, Aim for the Moon does not accept returns unless we specifically authorize a return as part of an approved claim.

Do not return merchandise without prior authorization.

If we require an affected product to be returned as part of a claim, we will provide return instructions.

Payment Disputes

Payment Disputes

If you believe there is a problem with an order or charge, please contact Aim for the Moon promptly so that we have an opportunity to review and resolve the issue.

Customers should provide the order number and relevant information regarding the disputed transaction or product.

Nothing in this policy prevents a cardholder from exercising dispute rights available through their card issuer or payment network. Aim for the Moon reserves the right to respond to any payment dispute with applicable transaction records, proof approvals, customer communications, shipping and delivery records, and other relevant documentation.

Limitation of Liability

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Aim for the Moon's liability for defective goods shall be limited to the stated selling price of the affected goods.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Aim for the Moon shall not be responsible for special, consequential, incidental, indirect, or similar damages, including lost profits.

Aim for the Moon warrants that products manufactured by us will meet applicable generally accepted industry standards and be free from material defects in workmanship.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits liability or consumer rights to the extent such liability or rights cannot legally be excluded or limited.
